The purpose of this lab was to observe chemical changes which result in different properties.
Procedure
First all materials needed for experiment were gathered. Using a sanitized scissor, all the pipets were cut open at the very top of the pipet. The 96 well plate was used for combining the chemicals to see what the reactions were and the 12 well plate was used for holding the pipets filled with chemicals that had been opened.
In column 1 row A of the 96 well plate; two drops of NaHCO3 was combined with two drops of HCl-CO2. The results were observed and recorded. In column 1 of row B; two drops of HCl was combined with two drops of BTB. The results were observed and recorded. In column 1 row C, two drops of NH3 was combined with two drops of BTB. The results were observed and recorded. In column 1 row C; two drops of NH3was combined with two drops of BTB. The results were observed and recorded. Next, in column 1 row D, two drops of HCl was combined with two drops of Blue Dye. The results were observed and recorded. In column 1 row E; two drops of Blue Dye was combined with two drops of NaOCl. The results were observed and recorded. In column 1 row F; two drops of KI was combined with two drops of Pb(NO3)2. The results were observed and recorded. Then one drop of well shaken starch was added to the NaOCl and Kl and those results were observed and recorded. In column 1 row G; two drops of KI were combined with two drops of Pb(NO3)2. The results were observed and recorded. In column 1 row H; two drops of NaOH was combined with two drops of Phenolphthalein. The results were observed and recorded. In column 3 row A; two drops of HCl was combined with two drops of Phenolphthalein. In column 3 row B; two drops of NaOH was combined with two drops of AgNH3. The results were observed and recorded. In column 3 row C; two drops of AgNO3 was combined with two drops of NH3. The results were observed and recorded. Finally in column 3 row D;
