we were able to decipher once a complicated art piece into a simple painting. This process was enduring yet the ability to present to the other groups demonstrating our groups understanding of the art piece made it well worth the task.
I though grammar was the most valuable tool.
Using grammar allowed us to question only the visible components of the art pieces such as the texture, the structure, and the colors presented in the piece. Within the group I was able to question why the are piece had various shades of colors from one end to other end. In addition the group I was in where were able to agree to disagree on our views of what the colors represent. In this painting several people believed it represented income inequality but I said it represented prosperity. In the background of the paint existed a red crane. I stated that this red crane demonstrated a city that in the process of building more condos or some type living
structures.
This “new” step I did not found all that beneficial. We had a seminar like discussion. It involved us witness a art piece for the first time and then we would take notes and write anything we found interesting about the piece for about 10 minutes and then we discussion our beliefs and opinions. In some ways it demonstrate the purpose of seminar. Each person in the group came from different backgrounds and we were told to look at the same art piece and provided our insights. Thus demonstrating the benefit seminar has for every person. It allows us to express ourselves and allows us to share opinions in a control environment. Seminar does not only allows us to express ourselves freely but allows our minds roam endlessly.
