The first step I took was to brainstorm my ideas with my partner to figure out how we’re going to built the maze. Then we plan out our ideas and started to eliminate things that are not necessary. Finally, we started to built our project with the ideas we came up with.…

"Labyrinthine. The very sound of that word sums it up-as slippery as thought, as perplexing as the truth, as long and convoluted as a life" (Cooper 347). That was how Bernard Cooper ended his insightful and thought-provoking essay "Labyrinthine." Those words haunt me to this very day. Cooper had perfectly described life through the pronunciation of one lone word, "labyrinthine" (630). It was through a trivial infatuation, one that started when he was seven, that Cooper was able to make such a powerful observation. He loved to solve mazes, and he loved to create them even more. He was so fascinated with mazes that it’s no surprise he can so easily come up with an observation like this. This only proves to show that a single, powerful, infatuation can teach you a great deal.…
In the maze runner the world was hit by a massive solar flare which ruined a lot of the land on Earth. Because of this there was not enough food and supplies for everyone to have enough to eat and survive so the government created a disease called the “flare”. This disease is a brutal disease in which eats away at the human brain and causes people to turn into blood thirsty beings called “Cranks”. Because this disease got out of hand and the scientists had no way of curing it they experimented on intelligent children and trapped them in a place called the “glade”. In order to leave the glade this children must go out into the maze and find their way out but if they do not return back to the glade before…

Teamwork is the process of working collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve a goal. There are 2 ways in which teamwork can be used and they are formal and informal groups. A formal group is one which is formed for a clear purpose for example a school or a college, and there members each have clear roles and all have identified goals. They also have written policies or procedures. An informal group is one which consists of your family and friends, people who you choose to associate yourself with, and do not have any policies and procedures, nor does it have any aims.…
Teamwork was a part of my undergraduate degree. A specific example of a teamwork challenge that I faced was the annual robotic competition. The team was polarized on the subject of the mechanism design. Given time and resource constraints it would not have been possible to allow sub groups to pursue individual projects. The problem was eventually resolved by adopting a design in line with the project objects and which was realizable within the limited time period with budget. As a team leader I filled in the role of a facilitator and kept the team on track in meeting the deliverables. I also ensured that each member got a fair share of participation and could contribute equally since the project was crucial for every engineering student and each of us was there to learn. The effort was successful as the team emerged the 5th best team amongst 50 other participating teams.…
In Tough Mudder, teamwork is very important, indeed, is the success of the company. The way they do that is putting the person in certain circumstances or obstacles, so they can’t do or pass on their own and so they really need a full team to get through the course. This is a great way to get people together and works as a one, consequently, they will be more creative to overcome difficulties as a…

The learning environment for cooperative learning differs clearly from the traditional individualistic classroom environment. Students assume active roles and take responsibility for their own learning. The social atmosphere is collaborative and respectful of differences. Students learn group processes and problem-solving skills and become more and more independent in using them. Students construct their own learning through active engagement with materials, problems, and other students. The teacher's responsibilities include forming the teams, structuring the group work, providing materials, and determining the reward structure, but the students direct their own work and…
And so on. The point is that opportunity coming from having to deal with obstacles is not a new concept. Humans have known it to be a fact for millennia. The Stoics firmly believed that you must take the obstacles in your life and turn them to your advantage, controlling what you can and accepting what you can’t. Not easy by any means, but eminently doable. We all have the ability to flip obstacles into opportunity but sadly, we all don’t tap into that gift. We choose how we perceive issues, so it makes sense that how we manage our problems governs how complicated they will be to rise above. It is through the control we take over groundless emotion, that we see things as they really are, not as they seem. And then we are able to take the…
Everyone faces obstacles in life, it is simply the human condition; however, it is the way we face and conquer those obstacles in which they are given meaning. Through our journey in conquering these obstacles, we are able to strengthen ourselves and share our story to strengthen others. As the German-American author and poet Charles Bukowski once wrote, “what matters most is how well you walk through the fire.” That fire I had to walk through was anxiety. While anxiety most certainly had a negative impact on my life, it is through this experience in which new doors were and still are opening for me. My experience with anxiety helped me become the person that I am.…
