Oc Briefed Oa Case Study
1. September 29th Home and landing pages: OC briefed OA on new home and landing pages for Healthcare.gov. When creating the pages, OC used a two-door approach that placed separate buttons on the page for new and old enrollees to be directed to the specific information needed. Based on testing from last summer, this approach encourages more user interaction.
Action Item: None noted.

2. Marketplace Products for OE4: Other Languages and Alternate Formats: OC briefed OA on making Marketplace products available in other formats and languages for this year’s Open Enrollment. OC recommended that CMS offer the same products in the languages and formats as was done in year 3 for the upcoming Open Enrollment. Although usage of most of these products is low, reducing language or format access in the current environment is not advisable. OC will continue to track usage and revisit annually to ensure the best use of resources.

The Medium platform would generate greater awareness and understanding about CMS with the general public, and help with perception and messaging with external partners. OC also recommended that the CMS blog and the Medium blog exist at the same time using the strategy that the White House currently uses for their Medium and traditional blog.
Action Item: OA concurred with the recommendations.
