Odysseus Journey To Get Home Analysis
In the poem by Homer, Odysseus struggles to get home to Ithaca. He never gives up no matter what tries to stop him; he is determined to see his family and get back to ruling his island. Whatever Odysseus has to do to get home; he will do. Odysseus experienced different obstacles and two of them such as Circe turning his crew members into pigs and another obstacle Odysseus faced was Calypso keeping him captive at her island. Odysseus’s Journey to get home relates to the struggle of a soldier in the 21st century by people in the military struggling to get home to their families.
One of the many obstacles Odysseus faced was that Circe turned his men into pigs. It was kind of nerve racking at first for Odysseus when he found out his men where pigs.
