Chemicals are in everywhere in part of our life. Chemistry is present in nearly everything we see and everything we do, our body ,our home and environment. Chemicals can keep our body healthy maintaining our life style and keep us healthy and safe. You probably wouldn't even be alive if it wasn't for chemistry. Chemical reactions are happening every second in your body, keeping you alive. Everything you hear, see, smell, taste, and touch involves chemistry and chemicals (matter). Hearing, seeing, tasting, and touching all involve intricate series of chemical reactions and interactions in your body. With such an enormous range of topics, it is essential to know about chemistry at some level in order to understand the world around us.
In more formal terms chemistry is the study of matter and the changes it can undergo. Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space. Which is to say, anything you can touch or hold. Common usage might have us believe that ‘chemicals’ are just those substances in laboratories or something that is not a natural substance. Far from it, chemists believe that everything is made of chemicals.
Although there are countless types of matter all around us, this complexity is composed of various combinations of some 100 chemical elements. All matter is composed of various combinations of these basic elements. The wonder of chemistry is that when these basic particles are combined, they make something new and unique.
Understanding the basic properties of matter and learning how to predict and explain how they change when they react to form new substances is what chemistry and chemists are all about. Chemistry is not limited to beakers and laboratories. It is all around us, and the better we know chemistry, the better we know our world. Chemistry is everywhere, and we use it all the time in our daily lives, probably without knowing it.

A chemical reaction is the process of altering the composition and structure of one set of chemical substances to another.1 Two or more elements react forming a chemical compound. These changes occur due to the movement of electrons breaking and forming new chemical bonds.2 Factors can influence the rate in which the reaction occurs, these include catalyst, concentration, temperature and particle size. All chemical reactions result in changes of energy whether that it through light, sound and of course heat. When energy (heat) is released from a reaction into its surroundings, it is called an exothermic reaction. However, on the hand when heat is absorbed it is called an endothermic reaction.3…

Matter is described as anything that has mass and occupies space. Every matter is compose of different substances. There are a lot of substances that exist on planet. That is why chemists use some sort of classification in which each substance would fit into their discrete groupings. Chemist use bonding types, electrical conductivity, melting and boiling point and physical properties to classify substances into four main groups, which are:…

First to define the word, compounds are pure substances made up of atoms of two or more elements chemically combined together in fixed ratios determined by mass. When a compound is formed from its components, a chemical change takes place through chemical reactions. Elements form compounds to become more stable, which happens when the maximum number of possible electrons are in the outermost energy level.…
