Of Mice And Men Belonging Analysis
“OF MICE AND MEN” a novel written by John Steinbeck displays how the sense of belonging is important in our everyday life. This novel explores the importance of belonging through common experiences the two main characters encounter. The book tells of how Lennie and George, two very different people has to stick together to survive in an unfamiliar country.
In the novel, the sense of belonging was sometimes represented based on the travelling and experience shared by George and Lennie. This sense of belonging is presented by Lennie’s dream and perspective. “An’ I got you. We got each other, that’s what, that gives a hoot in hell about us” (pg 103). This shared experience and responsibilities gave them a role to play and a motive to live on
