Conflict is defined as the behaviour due to which people differ in their feelings, thoughts and/or actions. Conflicts occurs when people perceive that, as a consequence of a disagreement, there is a threat to their needs. Conflict as one of the main themes of the book occurs often from Lennie and Curley to Crooks and the others on the ranch conflict is apparent. Highlighting the theme of isolation or alienation it is clear that some of the characters have those feelings.
