Officer Louis Ramirez Job Description

Officer Tomas Ramirez is a great officer and outstanding School Resource Officer. He understands the values and the importance of his position as an SRO within the department. He works well with others and represents the department in a positive manner. He is well respected by his peers and the school district sees him as someone who can be counted on. Officer Ramirez promotes an excellent working environment and treats others with courtesy and respect at all times. He exceeds at planning, organizing, controlling and guiding others on a daily basis. His officer safety skills are good and he identifies potential safety threats while suggesting ways to resolve them. Officer Ramirez rarely needs direction or supervision and is a self starter
He is on the process of preparing a vice ordinance for implementation city wide. Due to the nature of the ordinance he must work side by side with other city departments such as the city attorneys office. This kind of constant communication with other entities has led to Officer Paulson being complimented several times for his professionalism and communication skills by the staff at the city attorneys office.

In May of 2015, Officer Ramirez was involved in an investigation into a burglary at a Arroyo Elemtary School. Officer Ramirez not only conducted an excellent investigation but the head of security for the school district and principal of the school complimented Officer Ramirez not only for conducting an excellent investigation but also for the manner in which he conducted it.

Officer Ramirez has also received several compliments from school district employees for his assistance in dealing with students and sensitive investigations involving minors.
