Oh the Places You'll Go Reflection September 7, 2012 It's a person's choice of which path they want to take in the future but without help they can choose the wrong path. As Dr. Seuss said in his poem" I'm sorry to say so but, sadly, it's true and Hang-ups can happen to you." My Perspective is that careers is a very important course in high school because it helps students discover their skills and choose the right career. Careers will show kids how to create and do different aspects of getting a job and starting a career. It will let them explore the different opportunities for them in the future and educate them to choose the career best for them. In
this course I'm hoping to learn what career would be right for me. I want to learn how to write a professional job resume and how to do a job interview. Lastly I would like to learn the different career opportunities there are out there. My goals in this class are to get marks above 85% and learn more about myself and hopefully start to think of a career at the end. When I first watched the Oh the Places You'll Go video I was inspired to find the best career for me and it showed me that your journey won't always be good. In my opinion the career I am most interested in is doctor since I want to learn more about the human body. I know this career is one of the hardest ones to achieve but like said in the poem "And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.) I want to succeed and become a doctor.
