Equiano compares the slaves who were treated well and inhumanly. In results he concluded,"Negroes uncommonly cheerful and healthy, and did more work..." Using reasoning, Equiano proposed that masters should treat their slaves better because they will work better. Taking his persuasion even higher to abolish slavery, he uses pathos to talk about the slave owners rather than the slaves themselves. He wrote the fact of how "The fatality of this mistaken avarice corrupts the milk of human kindness and turns it into gall." Equiano points out how slavery is making the masters, Caucasians in general more greedy, and cruel. Just by owning enslaved people, the owners are moving away from the innocent hearted religious men they're suppose to be, and they're affecting their metal health.
All in all, Equiano was very persuausive .He placed the three rhetorical modes in a very well organized structure. He made coneections between each mode. In his writing he managed to convince and relate with his readers through the rhetorical modes. If I was one of his audience back then, I would definetly be take actions because of the pathos equiano uses.
