If a restaurant wants to be the best, then they have to meet some criteria in order to do so. The first defying factor, is whether the atmosphere the restaurant has, is an enjoyable one. Next, in order to have a good experience at that restaurant, the service has to good. This means not only friendly service, but quick service as well. Of course the most important factor, that determines how good a restaurant is, has to do with how good the food is. If food quality is poor, then that can really put a bad image on that restaurant. Lastly, after all of the other factors, was the experience, and the food worth…

Working in IN-N-OUT Burger, people were referred to as “associates” rather than employees or workers. As a family-run business, treating employees as family members make them feel more connected to the business. Snyder is always held their employees in high esteem, paying them higher salary than other fast-food competitors. The company’s benefit packages are also generous, which include vision, medical, and dental benefits for both part-time and full-time associates. Such treatment engenders loyalty from workers. All associates in IN-N-OUT were given opportunities to grow and expand within the business chain. “They have the lowest turnover rate in the fast food industry, which is notorious for turnover,” says Perman. “They say that the average manager’s tenure is 14 years, but they have managers who have been there 30 or 40 years.” The company stayed focused on “Keep it real simple, do one thing and do it the best you can.” Therefore, associates were given strict uniforms and were always prompted to smile to customers, which wasn’t hard because every employee was happy to be there. Snyder is also believed in paying for hard work. This is another way to reward employees who have put effort on doing their work and keep them motivated and do the best for the restaurants.…
When looking at the menu, sometimes I have trouble deciding on what to choose. The reason why is their menu consists of mainly comfort food like what we grew up with when our parents made us dinner as kids. When I think of food from a restaurant I think of a quick cooked meal that tastes nothing like what I think it should. The food here is more like home cooked meals. The portions are larger than what many other restaurants provide. Sometimes the food is not what we expect like being cold, undercooked, overcooked or just not…
It’s hard to believe there are five problems with In-N-Out Burger because of how successful the company is and how delicious the burgers are. Well at least that what I heard, one of my friends that moved to California confessed to me that the reason he moved was because he loved In-N-Out Burger’s. But as I began to read I found more than five devastating problems that the Snyder family encountered as pioneers of the fast food business.…
While working at a fast food restaurant there are many activities that need to be performed in a special order or the food will not reach the customer in a timely manner. The major focus in any fast food restaurant is to provide the correct order to the customer who ordered the food in a timely manner. If a fast food company can not provide the food the customer the food that they ordered in a timely manner then that restaurant will not stay in business for long. Arby’s restaurants are made up of 5 distinct areas for service: Front counter, Drive thru, Backline, Fryer and lastly general cleanliness. This paper will explain the stations and expectations Arby’s has in place to provide the best service for the customers.…
When I went to Big Bowl- an authentic Chinese and Thai restaurant- with my mom, one of the first things I noticed was that they had great service. Right when we walked in, a lady came up to us and seated us. Right after, they gave us menus and asked us what drinks we wanted. They waiter was a very nice and patient gentleman. We ordered quite fast, and our food came even faster! The cooks at Big Bowl were even kind enough to have my mom's source on her stir fry be more mild than spicy, just as my mom asked. I have been to tons of restaurants in my lifetime, many of them having very crabby waiters or very…

When visiting Olive Garden, customers of age will be able to partake in some wonderful cocktails like a green apple moscato cocktail or an Italian margarita. Further, Stewart and Kamins (1993) also suggest that secondary sources provides an opportunity to learn what is already known, and what remains to be learned, about a particular topic. In addition secondary research includes government reports, industry studies, archived data sets, and syndicated information services as well as the traditional books and journals.…
Food is the first parameter of judgment of the quality of a restaurant. Eating out means spending money, and surely, we expect to get the most satisfaction possible as the saying goes “we get what we pay for “. Thus, we look forward to have tasty meals. And once again, tastes are unobjective: a dish that I find undelicious might be succulent to my companion. However, we are all expecting what we have on our plates to be fresh and made of good ingredients. As far as I am concerned, I have preferences to simple and traditional dishes; authenticity and originality matter. An Italian restaurant that I used to work for previously is a good example of simplicity and originality: we just offer olive oil, balsamic vinegar and Italian bread along with the salads as it is customary in Italy…Some innovative restaurants would be tempted to present those Italian salads with new dressings, which could be not very bad, but that would definitely take away the originality …And as we talk about food, timing is also an important aspect that needs to be considered. As we go into a restaurant, we anticipate a waiting time, yet this waiting should not be too long to the point that the customers lose their appetite. There should be an appropriate timing not only between entrees, meals and the dessert, but also before getting the bill from the waiter. And of course, the pricing should be…
As I started my studies this year in Haaga, I started to travel a route to the campus which took me trough the "office district" of Vallila, an area I was not familiar with before. I saw many restaurants which I had never heard of and the more I took that same route day to day, I understood those were lunch restaurants which offered their services mainly for the business people at the area. I was intrigued if there could be some hidden gems amongst these restaurants and started to investigate their websites and also the customer comments on the website www.eat.fi. Unfortunately I was left quite disappointed. I only found one restaurant which had gotten quite many thanks for their nice salads, but on the other hand, people had hated their sushi. Rest of the comments were quite average. Of course I have to be quite critical when reading these types of customer feedbacks and the best thing to do would be to visit the restaurants myself. I also know that many people use their lunch voucher which they received from their employee (in…
