Oliver Twist Character Analysis

The movie Oliver Twist is about a 10 year old boy named Oliver Twist and he is living in an terrible orphanage because his mother dies after giving birth to Oliver. Oliver’s father also dies too but no one knows his death occurred. Ten years later, Oliver is being abused and treated like a animal by people which are Mr.Bumble and Mrs.Corney. Mr.Bumble gets angry whenever the orphans disobey him or just do little things, for example talking to each other when their supposed to be quiet. Oliver is usually tortured by Mr.Bumble because he stands up for himself and he could care less of how Mr.Bumble treats him. Rose is my one of my favorite characters because she is nice, caring and acts like a mother figure towards Oliver. My other favorite character is Nancy because she is talented, funny and is helpful. Mr.Bumble is my least favorite character because he is cruel, disrespectful and rude. My other least favorite character is Mr.Monks because he is conceited, rude and a thief. I believe the Midwife is responsible for Oliver’s horrible situation. I believe this is her fault because she was there whenever Oliver’s mother was going into labor. She
Dodge was kind enough to talk to him and take him where Dodge lives. The house belongs to a guy named Fagin, he is a chubby Jewish guy who takes in many orphaned children. He enjoys cooking and taking care of the children. While Dodge introduces everyone to Oliver, a woman named Nancy introduces herself to Oliver and she helps Fagin take care of the children. I disliked how Mr.Monks was making a plan with Fagin to kill Oliver because he didn’t want Oliver to become a leader and have power. I disliked how Mr.Sikes was using Oliver as a shield whenever they were trying to kill Oliver and Nancy helped Oliver recover from the shooting incident. Throughout this movie, I actually enjoyed it and I wonder if Oliver will end up being adopted by Rose later
