The way Kesey writes the book it clearly shows that there is a type of hatred for people of power. A great example of this is when Nurse Ratched sends people who she personally has behavior problems with off to the "disturbed wing". Many of the behavioral problems are caused when the patients feel the pain of shock therapy or the frontal lobotomy. Back in elementary school the yard duty lady did not like her job or the kids. This lead her writing a ticket for simple things of your shoe being untied.
