We will name the teacher Mary for the purpose of this critique as Aistear does not state the name of the presenter. Mary looks at pedagogical framing which she states lays the foundations for play. She calls it behind the scene work. According to Mary it includes the provision of resources, arrangement of space, and the establishment of daily routines, thematic planning and assessment. Mary communicates her message across in an orderly and mannerly tone. She is easy to listen to and reminds me of a teacher that I had many years ago wise and well experienced. I would be confident to implement her suggestions just by the tone of her…

With the use of examples from personal as well as her friends’ and family’s experiences, her argument is considered more credible and trustworthy. In paragraph 30, Prose describes her experience being taught how to deeply analyze the meaning of a Shakespeare play, and how she loved it after being able to deeply understand it. This gives the audience a different perspective, one of a student who received the education Prose argues for. This consequently supports her proposal that the reason english class has become such a useless chore to students is as a result of the straightforward and fruitless examinations of literature. Along with the narration of her and her friend’s children’s experiences, found in paragraphs 5 and 23, the audience may relate to the description of a poorly taught english class that uses unoriginal reading choices or cursory lesson plans, which in turn inspires them to invoke change in the education…

Alan Bennett uses a number of methods throughout the play in order to raise pertinent issues and fully convey his concerns, and I believe many of these are present within this extract; varying from his common language and structure techniques to the ever running themes of conflicting pedagogical philosophies, sinister pederast undertones and the drive for acceptance at Oxbridge.…

This essay tries to show that students are not alone. Whenever they are frustrated, there are teachers to help them. Maybe, this might be true, but I think about how many students really depend on teachers when they feel frustrated. I don’t want to be negative, but, though teachers are always sitting in their office, there are just a few students who look for them to talk about something. This is the reality, so I feel like this story is just about a utopia that we have ever dreamed. For me, teachers are still on a top of line and they are the people who I can’t approach easily because of their status. This is the reason that I was mad a little bit because the reality that I live is not in the same situation like the story.…

According to the law Republic Act. No. 7836 also known as the "Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994" signed by the former President Fidel V. Ramos, he stated that “the law mandating the professionalization of teaching is significant not only because it transfers the licensing of teachers to the Professional Regulations Commission but specially because it recognizes in clear and unequivocal terms the need to continuously upgrade the competencies of teachers”. So the training institution assumes the responsibility of economic transformation through effective teacher education. Without the license of the teacher they are not given the opportunity to teach and give in the knowledge they have to the students.…

As Rizal said, “the youth is the hope of the nation”. But who guides us during our learning years? Our beloved teachers.…

Education is generally described as “the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction.” It is a basic human right because it is considered one of the fundamental guarantees that enable an individual to live his full potential as a human being. In line with this, the 1987 Philippine Constitution states that, “The State shall establish, maintain, and support a complete, adequate, and integrated system of education relevant to the needs of the people and the society”. To do this the Education System started to mold its structure to align with the global standards and competitiveness. This will give graduates competencies and skills relevant to the job market. The K to 12 curriculum for the Philippine education is a solution to make the country’s current education system aligned internationally and make Filipino students globally competitive.
