Topic: How popular online dating is now
Organization: Topical
Specific Purpose: I would like my audience to understand that they should use online dating with caution.
I. Introduction
A. Attention getter: When most people hear the word catfish, they think of something being fried or blackened and served with fries, baked beans, hush puppies and with a nice cold drink to go with it. When I hear catfish, I think of MTV’s Online dating show. (Explains the show to inform audience who never heard of it)
B. Relevance: From going to online dating sites, to finding somebody you think is attractive on social medias like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to name a few; people all over the world choose to online date. Whether is to find their soul mate or their next hook up.
C. Credibility: Although I have never tried online dating, I find it interesting after watching Catfish, the show because you never know what you are going to get. It could be a happy ending or a terrible disaster.
D. Central Idea: Online dating as become popular in the past few years and I would like to raise awareness about it.
E. Initial Preview: I think if you should to online date, you have to fully analyze the person and what they are telling you, in order to for it to be successful when you guys meet in person.
Transition: Now, I’m going to talk about why online dating has become so popular.

II. Body
A. Base people all over the world has come accustomed to getting on the computer to find their soul mate.
1. Convenience: You can do it whenever you like without having to leave your home.
2. Being Shy: A lot of people who aren’t as outgoing can express their feelings better behind a computer.
3. It gives you the ability to screen potential dates

Transition: Now I would like to talk about the pros can cons of online dating.

A. With Online dating, you never know what you are going to get out of it.
1. Pro/Con: When in a cyber-world you can be whoever you want to
