Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. once said,"Everyone has the power for greatness, not for fame, but greatness, because greatness, is determined by service." With that said, I personally think that what Martin Luther King says is true. I agree that everyone has the potential for greatness because I believe that anybody has the power to do anything they put their mind to. With this in mind, I do think that service determines greatness simply because the service you do, says what kind of a person you are and how great you are. The service you give to others determines your greatness. Together with that idea of greatness comes the idea of service and that is why greatness is determined by service.…

A recent trend in high performance computing (HPC) has been towards the use of parallel processing to solve computationally-intensive problems. Several parallel architectures, which offer corresponding increases in performance as the number of processors is increased, have been designed in the last few years. Nowadays, with the enormous transistor budgets of 45-nm and 32- nm technologies on a silicon die, it is feasible to place large CPU clusters on a single chip (System on Chip, SoC) allowing both large local memories and the high bandwidth of on-chip interconnection. Using this chip-scale multiprocessing, the number of processors on a chip may in the near future scale to dozens or hundreds, depending on their complexity. The basic requirement for building such a SoC turned out to be the low power consumption, in order that system parts could be close together and communication time would be thus minimized. For the same reason, the CPU cores should be simple and processing nodes should be interconnected as effectively as possible.…

In the academe, the mission of every college or university is to equip the students with the proper knowledge to be globally competitive. Part of this mission is to ensure that in order for the student to have it is to test the readiness of the student and guide the student to the right course to take. These tests can be in the form of interviews, assessing the high school grades, and conducting an aptitude test. Collectively, they are called “College Admission Test”. Admission test is considered to be the most important part in the operations of the college or university. Everything starts in the admitting of students. The same way, the proper way of admitting the students will lead to the success of the student and also with the college or university. Most colleges and universities consider applicants’ scores on college admission tests when deciding whom to accept. These tests, also called college entrance exams, are designed to measure students’ skills and help colleges evaluate how ready students are for college-level work. Admission tests apply a common standard to everyone. This helps colleges evaluate and compare the preparation of students who graduated from different high schools. All schools do not offer the same academic programs, learning environments or even expectations. Colleges look at test scores, along with high school grades and courses, to see how well an applicant prepared college-level work. The importance of test scores in the admission process varies from college to college and depends on an institution’s admission approach and policies. Each college has its own policy.…

Modern technology has added a new ingredient to this mix the Internet. The Internet can be regarded as a cheaper and improved version of the self-education resources. Some people like to take exam in a classroom is traditional manual examination because they are happy to sit there and have the teacher tell them what to learn, and when they get stuck, they are happy that there is someone there to help them, and they enjoy the social environment while taking exam. The traditional approach to measuring a person's level of knowledge in a topic has been the examination. These days there is often more emphasis on "internal" assessments, which may consist of assignments and projects given out and then marked or assessed. However examinations remain a popular component of many assessments. Source: Phillip Dorrell (2006)…
