Online Learning Video Analysis
After reading and watching the video, I am able to understand a little more of the online process with school. I am unfamiliar with the Google Chromebook, but I am a much hands on learner, so I am still going to continue using it but also use the house computer and laptop as well. I also know to use Microsoft Word to check my spelling and grammatical errors, as well as word count. I have also learned that I need to work on my time management skills to ensure that I spend at least two hours a day on my studies without the TV going. This is going to definitely be a challenge for me because even when I was attending for my Associate’s Degree, I felt I needed to have some kind of background sound. Now, it simply is a distraction. Watching the video, made me see that I need to cut some things out for the time being. …show more content…
I am unknown to it. Before I was used to MLA formatting. I have a book that my younger sister used when she was in college that has some examples as well. The more information I read about it, the more I can hopefully become more knowledgeable. Reference:

Kimberly, I can somewhat relate to you about finding it hard to study in the same place. I have a daughter who is almost finished with elementary school and while she studies, I try to. Whether it’s in the kitchen, the den, or even in my room, somehow she always tries to want to talk while we study together. Even if I’m in the den and she’s done with her schoolwork. I have designed a time frame for each of us to do homework and no TV until we are finished every week. I figured even if she doesn’t have homework, she can devote her time to reading. It’s especially good in the summertime when she is out of school

This story is about a girl who does not want to reveal her inner self, and tries to change her outer self, so she can be liked by other people. The main character, Camilla tries to change herself from the outer side by trying 42 outfits. In my opinion , I would rather wear clothes, I am comfortable in instead of trying to impress others, as beauty lies in the eyes of a beholder(we all have an opinion on what beauty means). Camilla wants to please people because in the story when she got stripes people called out colors and she changed as people wanted her to be. This tells clearly that Camilla wants people to like her in a different way instead of letting people like her the way she is as beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly a beautiful soul. Instead of being famous Camilla became a victim, when t.v news channels found out about the bizarre color changing child. The Doctors treated her physically, but not ecologically, because in the story when Mr. Bumble gave Camilla the ointment, which was to calm her down. Then he brought the specialist, and then the experts, and at the end she became a room. This all…

Finding time to study is tough, with a twenty-month old running around. I wish I could freeze time and just play with him! Sometimes, it is so hard to focus and I lose my time to study. I have started going other places to study. I am taking my teachers’ advice and picking up my books and going to the library, or I will lock myself in my room and turn on the television to drown out the noise of everyone around me. So far it has worked. I hope it continues.…

According to Palm Beach Community College (PBBC, 2008),they recommend that student’s study should have at least three hours outof class for every hour spent in class. They also said that a student must havea special place to study with plenty of room to work. And students should notbe cramped. They presupposes that study time will go better if a learner takea few minutes at the start to straighten things up. A desk and straight-backedchair is usually best. “ Don't get too comfortable--a bed is a place to sleep, notto study” as what they said. A student must have everything close at hand(book, pencils, paper, coffee, dictionary, computer, calculator, tape recorder, etc.) before starting to study. Students are not suggested to spend on time jumping up and down to get things. The PBCC suggests also that distractingnoise should be minimized however they said that there are some peopleneed sound and some like silence. In this case, a learner must finds whatworks for him or her. Culprits are family and friends. consider a "do notdisturb" sign and turning on your answering machine is the way also to havebetter study habits according to the PBBC..Frank Pogue(2000) did a research project to determine whystudents fail. What he founds to be true in that study habits survey was thatmore than 30 years ago still rings true today--students fail because they donot know how to study .The best advice he can give is to develop sound studyskillsHe said that a student should make sure that he/she has a good studyenvironment, a good desk, a sturdy chair, good light, comfortable roomtemperature and a quiet atmosphere. That means he/she should eliminate allexternal and internal distractions. Second, get a good overview of theassignment before starting the work. Know what skills, facts and ideas thatare expected to master and the ground that are expected to cover. Start withmost difficult subject first, while the mind is freshest and most…

During the past four years of attending Newark High School, working on MLA format was something teachers worked very hard on to teach students. Every essay written by each student had to be correctly written in MLA format or else you would fail a writing assignment. This has been taught since the start of Freshmen year of school. There was no way around this rule. From just graduating High School, I am very experienced with writing essays. In many different classes we had to write essays. We did not just write essays in English. Students had to write essays in Math, Biology, Psychology, French, History, Government, and many more classes.…
