The Problem and its Background
Introduction The POS is all about the system or the flow not about the hardware or the tools. It is where you take money from the customer in exchange for goods or services. The main function of your point of sale system is to automate the sales process and keep a detailed history of all transactions.
Background of the Study In this high level technology age businesses are increasing in an enormous amount of number ranging from BIG to SMALL size businesses, whole-sale to retail in sales. In BIG section, came a system capable of doing tons of transactions, reports, inventories, business analysis, and even intelligent suggestions in a matter of seconds. This system was named POS (Point of Sale or Checkout). About 1990’s a number of big Software Development companies begun solving the problem of manual transactions in this field. But those systems are so powerful at the time they also cost more. In small-scale businesses or the retail section, we come-up to something unique and easy to access POS (Point of Sale System). It will be available both online and offline. A system capable of adapting multiple lines of businesses, this system will be free of charge in order to solve the expensive problem in the retail section.
Statement of the Problem
Main Problem Daily transactions are done manually.

• Updating replenishment of stock is done using legacy systems
• Top Management/HR/Accounting departments are informed by the end of the day
Main Objective To develop a POS (Point of Sale System) that syncs the Management, Warehouse/Stocks, and the Store.
Specific Objective(s)
• One-click print of the OR (Official Receipt), Inventories are updated in each transactions. Reports can be generated in between shifts.
