For me, successful online learning means not only do I have be organized in my class work but – remember those many hats – being organized in the rest of the other things I have (and need) to do on a daily basis. Whether is going into the office, or dropping the kids off at school, or training for a marathon, or teaching a class, or having an anniversary dinner etc., being organized is a must for me. For some, organization is more important than others. Maybe you don’t work or have minimal other tie-ins. In that sense, organization ties into time management.
“There are only so many hours in a day” -
That phrase never rang truer. Along with organization, time management plays a critical role in successful online learning. As one with a seeming never ending slate of items on my to-do list, managing my time effectively is a must. In my opinion, the level of success obtained is determined by how much time you put into learning. How much time you put into learning is typically dictated by how much time you spend doing all of the other things you need and want to do. In my case, it’s a delicate balancing act between home, work, school, personal time, and sleep. With that said, my organization and time management are directly linked with my communication.
