The operation was to go as follows: 1. Activate Hitler’s Reserve Army. 2. To assassinate Adolf Hitler. 3. Cut off all communications from the Wolf’s Lair to the rest of the German forces 4. To say the S.S. was starting an uprising against Hitler 5. For the Reserve Army to arrest all S.S. and Nazi officials and military in seats of power. 6. Take control of the government. 7. Negotiate a treaty with the Allies.

The film shows the most crucial reason as to why the bomb didn’t kill Hitler when it went off. It is apparent that the meeting was moved from the enclosed concrete bunker to a wooden hut, which probably took some of the effect away. However, most people may not realize that the bomb was actually moved away from Hitler (Silvester). A general who was entering the meeting moved the bag that contained the bomb to the other side of the leg that Stauffenburg had leaned it on. This was the reason the bomb didn’t kill Hitler that day.
