Opponents Of Illegal Immigration

Opponents of illegal immigration say that people who break the law by crossing the U.S border without proper documentation or by overstaying their visas should be deported back to their native country and not be granted the right to citizenship and access to social services. I do understand the action of deportation, but mass deportation would also hurt the economy. From food products sky rocketing in price and the effect of minimum wage would drop. According to deportation deception “undocumented workers make up 5.1% of the American workforce” (Immigration and Migration). How is the government going to deport almost 11 million of illegal immigrants? How are they going to do it? There would be a dramatic increase in domestic surveillance and
enforcement. Is the government going to go knocking door to door doing roundups. What would happen if they make a mistake with legal citizens?
