Lust is not only striping a woman off their clothes with your eyes, but also lust for food or drinks that we shouldn’t eat in excess. The desires of the flesh and the lust of the eyes are not from the father, but from the world. Eating exotic foods high in salt or sweets all day only because is our bodies wants when we have already eaten a meal is gluttony. In the sight of God gluttony is a sin. The Scripture states in 1st of John 2:17 , “the world passes, but he that does the will of God remains forever.” This doesn’t mean that we will never die, rather that we will obtain eternal life with God after our physical death. In other words, our physical and intellectual aspect changes when we decided to live accordingly to the heart of God. We tend to make more healthy choices when we recognize that we are the temple and dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. Our longing to be closer to God makes us strive for a better health and life.
