I have been well prepared for training in this program after years of struggling to figure out who I am, how to become a good student, and finding what my passion is. Growing up I was always an average student, I was always a never a straight A student or known as a bright child, school was always a struggle for me. Toler, who has been a mentor for me over the years. I have watched how Dr. Toler has grown in her career from working as an optometrist at Target Optical and then relocating to Eye Doctor’s Optical Outlets along with recently having developed her own private practice called Hope Vision Development Center where she uses her skills to provide children with vision therapy to better improve their eye sight. I am very disciplined, patient, compassionate, enthusiastic, creative, and ambitious. I am a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and interact well with others. I have excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and time-management skills. I am an exceptional problem solver with analytical, creative and organizational abilities. I operate effectively in a team environment with a strong work ethic, and I am adept at working under pressure and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. These are the countless skills and abilities that I have developed throughout my years of working as an assistant manager, earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and my Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, and volunteering and performing community service, which I believe will help me succeed in optometry
