An excellent reference book with lots of solved problems is The Schaum’s Outline Series book on "College Physics", 9th Edition, by Frederick Bueche. Homework: Homework assignments will be posted online. You will need to purchase access to the WileyPlus online homework service, unless you bought access last semester when you took physics 120 with me. I will give you 5 chances to type in the correct answer to the homework problems before the due date. You will have about 5 days to work on the posted online homework assignments. Each student will turn in his/her own report of the experiments at the time indicated by me. Each report must follow the guidelines spelled out in the lab manual posted on the course website. Quizzes: There will be approximately 10 short quizzes. Each quiz will cover 1 chapter. The quizzes will be given at the beginning of lecture and will last 20 minutes each. The lowest quiz grade will be dropped! Quizzes will be closed book, closed notes, and calculators are allowed. Make-up quizzes will not be given.

Examinations: There will be 3 examinations given throughout the semester AND a final exam.

Make-up exams will be given only if you are badly ill AND bring me a doctor’s note. If you get into a car accident on your way to the exam, you must bring me the police report.
