Orange In Life Of Pi

One symbol that helps to illuminate this book, Life of Pi, is the color orange. This color appears very often throughout the book. Orange is a color of survival and of hope. All the things that would and could help Pi survive were orange. “…the whole inside of the boat and the tarpaulin and the life jackets and the lifebuoy and the oars and most every other significant object aboard was orange” (Martel).
