Organisation Study at Odyssia
1.1 INTRODUCTION An organization is a planned coordination of a number of people and their activities for the achievement of organizational goals through division of labour, hierarchy of authority. An organization study involves the study of structure and functioning of the departments organizing is one of the important functions of management. All most all organizations are different but they have certain common features. All are collection of people linked together by formal and informal relationships. The study is mainly aimed at the overall performance of the company which includes the study on department. We have made a thorough study on individual departmental such as production, marketing & finance, etc. Odyssia is one of the most popular brands among chappals. It already introduced several models of footwear. There are fashionable models for teenagers. The study was done by me during the period from 12st August 2013 to 26th August 2013 at RAPTURE INDIA FOOTCARE PVT LTD, Calicut, Kerala and the firm which deals with the footwear manufacturing. They are the leaders of footwear manufacturing in South India.
1.2 OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
* General study about the financial area, purchase, production, personnel and marketing area of the company. * To get an overview of working environment of the company. * To study the structure of the organization. * To study about the problems in an organization. * To make a study report about the organization and submit it to the university for the partial fulfillment of the requirements for the award of the Master of Business Administration.
