Organizational Structure of McDonald’s
McDonalds is one of the largest food chain companies in the world and has much strength in its company that allows it to build a functional structure.
A McDonald’s resturant is operated by a franchise, an afilliate or the corporation itself. McDonald’s has a multi-level organisational structure, which is headed by the CEO and the board of directors. The board is made up of 13 members, 11 of whom are directors. The CEO leads a group of line of managers who are in charge of the different aspects of the company. The corporation revenues come from the rent, royalties and fees paid by the franchises, also from the sales in company-operated resturants. 80% of its revenues comes from Canada, Brazil, Germany, France, Japan, UK, Australia, and the U.S. As a result of a recognizable corporate symbol and successful advertising techniques, it has established the brand image and logo in the minds of millions of people. Customers know what to expect when they walk into the store, great emphasis goes to human resources by satisfying both the customer and the employees. McDonalds marketing strategy is concerned with the internal resources, external environment, and its basic competencies along with its share holders.
