When using the constraint model two people may perform very differently in the same movement situation. The constraint approach is how learners search through range of potential movement solutions. Also, the perceptual motor workspace, which is the use of perceptual cues to identify a space. For example, if two early childhood aged kindergartners were seated at a table (space) and told to pick up a full glass of water they may perceive it and act differently. The two kindergarteners, one boy and one girl, the boy is tall for his age and has brown short hair and the girl has blonde hair and is short and does not have a right hand. Each child is told to sit at the table at different times and told to pick up the full glass of water. The boy may quickly pick it up fast because he is excited and thinks it is a competition. The support of the table gives him the mobility to reach for the glass and do what he is asked to do. The
