References: The results revealed that the basic underlying assumption of culture at NUST are that of Theory X proposed by (McGregor, 1966). will go back to work in their former cultural settings (Schein & Bennis, 1965). But the concept of group norms extensively discussed by Hawthorne studies earlier seemed enough to explain this concept (Roethlisberger & Dickson, 1939). In 1960’s organizational psychology started emphasizing more on work groups and whole organizations rather than individuals (Bass & Ryterband, 1965). In 1980’s Charles Handy linked organizational structures to organizational culture organizations cultures included Role, Power, Personal and Task culture. One of the most significant work done on culture is that of (Schein, 1990) in which he presented the onion model human nature.
