Origami Crane
I am going to demonstrate how to make an origami crane, which I thought it was interesting because of the Japanese legend of the thousand cranes or the well-known story ‘Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes’. I´m sure all the Michael Scofield lovers will find this entertaining too
.
An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane. Some stories believe you are granted eternal good luck, instead of just one wish, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. The crane in Japan is one of the mystical or holy creatures and is said to live for a thousand years: That is why 1000 cranes are made, one for each year.
So for those in desperate seek of being granted a wish by the gods, Prison Break fans, or those who simply want to learn something new, simply follow these steps and you will be able yo create your own origami crane. This is the most classic and popular of all origami and everyone should learn how to fold it.
The materials we will need are a perfectly square sheet of paper (Paper made specifically for origami can be found at most craft stores. It is usually colored only on one side) and above all, patience.
