Orr And Yossari Character Analysis

Orr tried convincing Yossarian that he should go on more missions with him in order to learn how to successfully crash land, little did Yossarian know that this was his invitation to escape with Orr. In chapter 28 of the novel Orr and Yossarian have a moment when Orr nearly reveals himself and his plans to him. He expains that he has worked hard to improve their tent so that Yossarian can stay warm and cook eggs and when he neglects adding himself into this conversation he leaves Yossarian questioning “Where are you going to be?”(Heller, 311). Orr does not reveal his plan then, but later it is all connected for Yossarian and he realizes that Orr was not crazy at all, he was determined, brave and most importantly sane.
