Sedation with oral midazolam is considered safe for children in the age group of 10-16 for orthodontic extraction of permanent teeth. The study consisted of 26 children in the age group 10-16 (12 males and 14 females) referred for orthodontic extraction of premolar or canine teeth under sedation.
