The method I used to make this decision was utilizing the feasibility study. This method allows us to determine how beneficial or practical the Stargazer project would be to the organization. The four phases associated with the feasibility study are: operational feasibility, technical feasibility, schedule feasibility and economic feasibility. The operational aspect informs whether the project is worth solving and evaluating for business usage. The technical feasibility allows us to evaluate if the proposed technology is practical. Technology feasibility also informs us if we currently possess the necessary technology to implement the project. The schedule feasibility informs us if…

After reviewing the information that was provided in a previous email regarding the three projects coded, Juniper, Palomino and Stargazer, I believe it will be more beneficial for the company to use the Palomino project. In my personal analysis, with the Juniper project, there is just too much low risk with completion on time, and with the Stargazer Project, although forecasted ROI within the next three years looks promising, there is potential of extra costs, questions of how familiar the customer will be with the final product and not sure if it is worth the high risk of completion.…

Stargazer is selected due to its feasibility and risk level. From market feasibility study, some strategic customers have already indicated interest in the product. The critical path for Project Stargazer would be ten months, which would be February 2016. The costs associated with this project would be $575,000. The break-even point is one and a half years, with a seven-year life cycle. In addition, the company has already started on the research of the widgets, allowing the company a faster start up time, which will fit into the 12-month timeframe given. Even though the risks may be higher, the technology of this project will help dilute the risk, as well as the ability to increase price using skimming price strategy. This project is…

With this we can define a project manager. A project manager is someone who manages the tasks that should be completed in the time you have for the project. The project manager will have to manage not only the tasks but also the employees working on these tasks. This means a project manager will work with different departments and doesn’t rely on his ‘own’ department. A project manager often is a person that doesn’t have a department but has a group of employees working together on one project coming from several departments.…
