The IB Lab Report
Measuring osmosis
1. Introduction
My experiment is about osmosis on a potato and if or the quantity of salt affects osmosis. I would do the experiment with 5 potatoes cut into squares all the potatoes weight the same so the weight can`t be a variable the I put the potatoes on 5 different plastic cups with different amounts of salt and then I weight them again to see if the quantity of salt affected the osmosis of potatoes
1a. Research question
¿Does the quantity of salt in water affected osmosis?

3. Method
Day 1
-Step 1 I cut the potato into smaller squares and weight each one.
-Step 2 I weight the 5 cups only the cups on the balance.
-Step 3 I put 100 ml of water on each cup.
-Step 4 I measure the quantity of salt that I put on each cup.
-Step 5 Finally I Put the potatoes on the cups to wait and see.
Day 2
-Step 1 I take out the potatoes samples
-Step 2 I weight all the potatoes samples
-Step 3 I record the data
4. Safety issues
There are not safety issues to considerate on this lab.
