1.0 INTRODUCTION

Good morning children. How are you today? Have you taken your breakfast this morning? Before I start with my speech for today, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Nur Izzati Atikah. My profession is a secretary in one local firm, a homemaker and a mother of one eleven years old boy. I am studying in SRB Saint Columba from year 1984 until 1989. I have a lot of sweet memories during at a time when I’m study in this school. Some of my sweet memories in this school is I got my UPSR exam with straight five A. There is a secret behind my success in the exam, one of the secret is having a breakfast before I start my day and later on I will talk about “Why breakfast is the important meal of the day?”

Breakfast literally means ‘break the fast’; the first meal of the day.¹ Breakfast is the meal for breaking the fast for the day after eight until nine hours of sleeping. During the sleep hours, a time for our body and mind take a rest, we are not eating anything, and we only have dreaming or nothing. Because of that, the energy reserves inside your body getting low after wake up. In the morning, again both our body and the mind need sufficient energy to function properly. This energy is provided by the breakfast. Breakfast is a

    Intermittent Fasting can have many health benefits, as well as aid in fat and overall weight loss. Many people across the world practice fasting at times, but this is mostly for reasons that have to do with religion. For example, Muslims will do a half day fast during Ramadan, while Catholics fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. This is only for a short time though and usually only once a year. Almost everyone fasts daily, when they are sleeping, but Intermittent Fasting (or IF) takes that time and increases it. Some versions follow a one day on one day off protocol, others will have you fast 24 hours twice a week, and another popular version is fasting every day for 16 hours, while eating 8 (St. Pierre and Birardi 1-2). Most nutritionist and health experts say that the key to a healthy diet is many small meals throughout the day. There is very little, if any, research proving that to be true.     Vehicle theft cases in Malaysia today become at an alarming stage where the study shows that, in every 15 minutes, one car is reported stolen (The General Insurance Association of Malaysia-PIAM, 2011). According to statistics, vehicle thefts in Malaysia especially in the Klang Valley are still going up. The association revealed that in the first half of 2010, 65% of thefts occurred in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor, rise about 18% from 2009. PIAM said that during the six months of 2010, 10,232 claims for stolen vehicles had been received by its members, costing more than RM170 million.
