more productive. The article points outs that you should first protect the most productive hours. For many of us those hours are in the morning before lunch, so try not to schedule morning meetings. Use this time to work on projects or research that is important, while avoiding e-mail and social media (Duffy, 2015). Next, create a list of specific task for the week with detailed information, specific goals and dates. An individual should also take the time to review their daily calendar first thing in the morning. This will allow adjustments and prepared you for the most important tasks for the day (Duffy, 2015)
The article continues to inform us that the daily calendar can be also be used as planning guideline.
It can help block out the time it will take to complete a project. It goes on to state working in twenty five minute increments is a good habit to get into. Taking short breaks will help productivity, and protect your eyesight while using today’s technology (Duffy, 2015). When planned task take less time than expected, take time to celebrate the success before moving on to the next project. Finally, make sure you allow the necessary time to get the proper amount of sleep. It is very hard to be efficient when you are sleeping deprived (Duffy,
2015). In conclusion, getting organized allows an individual to complete tasks in a more efficient manner. This increased productivity allows time to take breaks necessary to keep the mind sharp and focused. Staying focused allows an individual to complete tasks in a timely manner. The additional time can then be spent on hobbies, with family or doing whatever you are passionate about.
