Speech Goal: I am going to demonstrate to my audience how to make my amazing chocolate brownies.
Introduction
I. Tell story about the super bowl party.
A. Junior year in high school.
B. My friend Hannah and I both made brownies.
C. Everyone talked about mine but didn’t touch Hannah’s.
II. I have always been one to have my head in the kitchen.
A. I have been cooking since I was 9 years old.
B. When people ask me how I make something I always tell them it’s a secret.
III. I have been making chocolate chip brownies for about 2 and half years now.
A. Family and friend all request my brownies.
B. It’s simple and comes out of a box but I just add a little to it.
Thesis Statement: The four steps invlved in making chocolate chip brownies are to set your oven and work space for cooking, preparing the ingredients, assembling ingredients/batter, and baking and cooling.

The first step in making chocolate chip brownies is to set your oven and work space.
A. You need to preheat the oven to precisely 350 degrees.
1. Any hotter your brownies will burn.
2. Any cooler your brownies will not get finished properly.
B. You need to get out your mixer and set it to medium settings.
C. You need a 9/13 pan to bake the brownies in.
(Now that you have your appliances ready for cooking, it’s time to prepare the ingredients.)
II. The second step in making chocolate chip brownies is to prepare the ingredients.
A. You need 1 box of Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix.
B. You need a ¼ of a cup of water.
C. You need 2 eggs.
1. Store bought eggs are good.
2. Fresh out of the coop eggs are better.
D. You need a ½ of a cup of vegetable oil.
E. Combined all of the ingredients into mixer and blend.
(Now that we have combined the ingredients, let’s talk about assembling the batter.)
