Output devices: is any type of hardware component that conveys information to one or more people.
Display devices?
Display device: simply device is an output device that visually convey text, graphics and video information.
Soft copy: it is the information that displays on a play device, it exist electronically and appears temporarily.
A display device consists of a screen and the component that produce the information on the screen.
Monitors: is a display device that is packaged as a separate peripheral.
Monitors controls permit users to adjust the brightness, contrast, positioning height, width of the image and some also have webcams and speakers.
Most display devices show text, graphics and video information in color. Some however are monochrome.
Monochrome: means that the information appears in one color (such as white, green …) on a different color background.
Some mobile devices use monochrome display because they require less battery power.
Flat panel display: is a light weight display device with shallow depth and flat screen that typically uses LCD (liquid crystal display) or gas plasma technology.
LCD monitors and LCD screens
LCD monitors: is desktop monitor that uses a liquid crystal display to produce images.
These monitors have 1. Sharp flicker- free images 2. Small footprints.
Some LCD monitors are wall mountable.
