Equal opportunity When Todd told Asha that she was promoted because she was doing well, Puro was perplexed because in their culture a man is usually promoted. Todd is from a culture of equal opportunity and doesn’t think twice.
Achievement and success Puro makes a statement reflecting the American culture regarding their ideal daily lives. Americans work at a place they do not enjoy for money to achieve the status of success among others, while in India their culture is about living for happiness.
Material comfort The boss, Dave, keeps making comments of Todd losing his job and living in a small box, so Todd will do anything he says.
Progress
Todd accidently attends the Color Celebration and actually experiences Indian culture firsthand. Realizing how beautiful India and its culture is Todd progressed culturally and personally. Todd's openness and vulnerability contributed to his steep upward learning curve, and was essential to his success there.
Democracy and enterprise Todd asks the entire call center what would make their job a better atmosphere; he gives them the opportunity to vote on individual issues.

Ex: Todd kept trying to grab Asha's hand in public and she kept backing away because she noticed a woman glaring at them. She told Todd to shake her hand as if there was a business transaction in progress. In Indian culture, it is prohibited to show any sort of affection towards single women.
