You do not have to suffer from shyness and you should not feel insecure and fear that you are being judged with every step you take. Winning the war with shyness takes practice, but is definitely well worth the effort as the result is increasing confidence and self esteem. Wake up feeling good about yourself, able to face the world with confidence and security and the knowing that no feeling of shyness can come in your way of achieving your desires. There are hundreds of books written on the subject of how beat shyness and gain confidence, but there are a few techniques that anyone can practice. Here are 6 suggestions of techniques on how to overcome your shyness: 1. Every morning, as soon as you get up, get in front of a mirror and say out loud "I feel terrific! I feel terrific! I feel terrific!" Repeat this affirmation with enthusiasm at least ten times everyday until it's ingrained into your subconscious mind. If feel a little self conscious to begin with lock yourself in the bathroom. The results will amaze you. 2. Feel good about yourself. Look your best. Dress up more often. This gives you an extra feeling of confidence and self esteem. On its own just knowing that you look good will boost your confidence

I don't have much to say about writing for myself. Writing doesn't mean much to me. I am not a writer. I am an orator. However, writing does mean something to my wife. I love my wife. She loves to write. She spends hours a day writing. I watch words flow from her fingertips as she writes page after page. She doesn't let me read much of what she writes, but when she does, I can see the passion and the joy that she has for what she writes about. I wish that I could write with such a fire.…

but I write because I believe it is one of the most important aspects of being able to communicate with those around you, personally and professionally. To say differently my attitude towards writing is that I write because I need to write and survive in the world around me. I write because I have to, not because I want to hope this makes some…

Everyone writes for different reasons. Writing allows us to tell a story through our own perspective. It allows us to pour all our thoughts and emotions into something that we otherwise might not speak about. Writing can spark ideas and memories we have and draw them out to be put into words on paper. It exercises our mind and our way of thinking. When you write you say what you mean. Some people use writing as an outlet, a way to express themselves or relieve stress and anxiety. It can be used for any purpose. Elie Wiesel uses his experience in the holocaust in a lot of his writing. He feels that he must be the one to tell the story of the victims, the ones who can’t tell it for themselves. As a survivor he is responsible for never letting anyone forget about it. I like to write about something I feel strongly about, something that makes me happy or makes me think, someone or something that has influenced me in different ways. For instance, when I visited Ireland a few years ago, the experience I had there is something I care so much about and it has affected me to such an extent that I want to write about it. The people in my life and the experiences I have had are topics that make me excited to write about.…

I am writing this quick letter to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my accomplishments and aspirations as a writer. I won't say that writing is in my blood or my genes or anything like that, but I will say that I do have an insatiable urge to write. I cannot say, but I definitely feel that writing is a passion of mine that I greatly enjoy. It is an urge that can only be satisfied and, even then, only temporarily, by stringing words together into a narrative. Ultimately, I greatly enjoy writing, although I do not consider myself to be stellar at it; I would call it a passion more than anything else.…

I have always been a more reserved person, and as I began high school, I realized that beyond being just quiet or shy, I was dealing with social anxiety. With support from my family and friends, this is something that by acknowledging, I have been able to work towards improving. Being surrounded by a community of students made up of such unique, accepting, and intelligent individuals has also helped me with this. I have been very fortunate to have been a part of such an amazing group of students and teachers during my years as an IB student. While my social anxiety may be something I still struggle with daily, I have learned that it takes nothing away from the smart and kind individual that I have become as I have grown up, and I hope that as I continue into college and into my life, that more people will be able to see such things in…

I write because I have to. I write to create a once in a lifetime, imputed edition book that reminds us of the past. I write when I'm sitting at home bored and have a ton on my mind. I write because it's a longer skill I will need to use throughout my whole life. I write to imagine the world in a different way. I write to express my imagination and creativity. I write wanting to escape all the stress and negativity in my life. I write to communicate with my friends, family, coworkers, and boss. I write because I want to. I write from the comfort of my bed to the hardness of desk chairs. I…

But why do we even bother with writing? Why is it so relevant to everyday life? Writing is the base to the pyramid of life - it’s the stepping stool and starting grounds to becoming a successful person. Writing is the base to learning experiences that are found in your education, community and work. Writing does more than just that though. It defines you as a person by expressing who you are, allowing you to write your thoughts and ideas down on paper to be argued and explained to another at a later time. In addition, writing is an essential job skill in which it contributes to…

I love writing because you can write anything your heart desires. I love how it is a way to communicate with other people. When I was in first grade my teacher whose name has escaped my memory, taught my class how to write in cursive a year early. I loved the way the letters curved and swirled on paper. A desire to write and write anything was sparked by the fact that I thought cursive was pretty. But in first grade I was mostly writing vocab words and not essays so I had not yet discovered its power to communicate. Today, I love writing because I can share my opinion with the world. I see that writing gives me the power to make a difference and all people have to do is read…
