Overproducer Strain Lab Report

One hypothesis of the absent of the stringent response in the alpha-amylase overproducer strain is that the degradation of the misfolded proteins could provide supplementary amino acids to the medium which in turn favours the absence of a stringent response and probably contributes to the upregulation of genes related to the active cell growth.
