This awesome song according to Wikipedia – 1812 Overture “was written in 1880 by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchailkovsky to commemorate Russia’s defense of its motherland against Napoleon’s invading Grande Armée.” The song is full of a well conducted mixture of instruments. I enjoy as the song begins with the violins, cellos and flutes begin to carry you through the epic voyage of war, struggle and victory. As the song progresses the brass and percussion instruments begin to build an awesome sort of soundscape that leads to bells and chimes ringing leading up to the boisterous cannons firing, bringing this awesome song to a glorious finale. …show more content…
The one I remember the most that was visually stunning and went well with the song was “V for Vendetta” and “Caddy Shack”. In both of the movies they used the 1812 overture op.49 – finale to really set the stage for the explosions going off in the movie. The song is really fitting in those scenes since the song is based from a time of war with the sound of cannons firing bringing the sound and visuals
