JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title Part time Sales Assistant at JD Sports
Department and location The successful candidate will be working at our Customer Service department at the JD on New Street.
Broad terms The new employee will work up to 18 hours per week, with also optional 4 hours overtime available. The basic hourly wage £7.50 per hour, and £8.00 per hour in overtime.
Responsible to whom The new employee will report to JD Sport’s New Street branch manager David Bentley. The new employee can report with any problem or queries.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will carry out an array of responsibilities:
Greeting customers who enter the shop.
Be involved in stock control and management.
Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
Stocking shelves with merchandise.
Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor.
Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers.
Responsible dealing with customer complaints.
Working within established guidelines, particularly with brands.
Attaching price tags to merchandise on the shop floor.
Responsible for security within the store and being on the lookout for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.
Being responsible for processing cash and card payments.
Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.
Answering queries from customers.
