What Have I Learned So Far?

Direction: The intent of the questions below is for you to comment about what you feel have been the most important things you have learned so far from your experiences teaching elementary school students and from your work in PHETE classes during the fall of 2015. 1. What do you think were the main things you learned from your experiences teaching elementary school students during the fall of 2015?
I have learned a lot since the beginning of the fall of 2015. A main thing I learned while teaching was to always lay the equipment out before starting an activity. In addition, I learned that it is extremely important to be on time in order to set up all the equipment. Another thing I learned was to eliminate the elimination. By this, I mean when planning/creating games, it is important that each student is fully participating in the activity. An example of this is giving each student a beanbag to throw rather than having only a few beanbags out. Another main thing I learned during the teaching was to go over critical elements before playing a game/activity.
2. What do you think were the
Harper my lesson plans on time. This way I was able to read over my plans several times, and if something needed to be changed I was able to. Another thing I learned was to always plan enough activities within the amount of time I have to teach. Likewise, I learned that is important to have variations of each activity/game. If the students are having a hard time with my activity, I had a remediation ready. If the students demonstrated the activity, I had an enrichment ready.
