PWYC Night
When thinking about this show, a feeling of intrigue came over my emotions, and the decision was made to view the show at the earliest possible time. Fortunately, the first showing also happened to be on PWYC night. That can help one survive with just a little bit more money in their bank account. The show seems to be a very original concept, showing the front and backstages of a production, providing multiple perspectives. The videos shown during class gave a very small glimpse into the comedic portions of the show. Knowing this is a comedy, a presumption can be made that it will include some verbal humor, as well as some complications. It was noticed that the clip viewed during class was mostly using physical humor. As the man went down and up the stairs frantically as the environment dictated. This further shows characteristics of farce. While very subtly, the clip introduced the sexual humor, as the woman hiding in the locked room only wore lingerie. Mostly I have to say i’m looking forward to the sexual humor. 2) PWYC night was a big success. Not exactly certain on how much was appropriate to pay, I only had a dollar in quarters on my person. Someone should notify us of these rules, but I was lucky enough to get someone to exchange a dollar with me. The show began just the way one would expect it to, comical and ridiculous. The Maid clearly showed all the notions of farce, with buffoonery that only escalated throughout the play. The show began and had everybody laughing from the get go. It almost never stopped until the final curtain call! How could a person expect the production to be that engaging as to cause an almost constant chain of laughing fits from the audience. I earnestly was not expecting to be genuinely
