B. He starts becoming a street criminal.
1. When he became a teen he started becoming more of a street criminal. He used to steal tombstones and sandblast the name of them and then sell them.
2. As he got older he started during more risky crimes like stealing cars and breaking into houses.
C. Rising to power.
1. Pablo Escobar rose to power in a strange way. There was a drug lord named Fabio Restrepo and the drug lord was murdered on the orders of Pablo Escobar. Then Escobar took Fabio’s drug organization and expanded it into his operations.
2. After a while he controlled all in Medellin and was accountable for 80 percent of the cocaine that was transported into the United States.

In the mid 1980’s Pablo Escobar reached the height of his career. He was rated one of the most powerful men in the world and was on Forbes list top ten richest men.

1. Pablo Escobar thought he would be safer if the Medellin people loved him. So he was very nice to them and spent millions of dollars on parks, schools, stadiums and churches. He made a bunch of houses for the people in the poorest places in Medellin. The people of Medellin loved him.
2. Pablo Escobar and some of his people were caught coming back from a drug run to Ecuador. After he ordered the killing of the officers that caught him the case was dropped.
3. With all the money and power he had it was impossible to bring him to justice he was untouchable during that time.
III. Jail time and downfall
A. The United States brought a lot of problems to Pablo Escobar.
1. Pablo Escobar was bringing in so many drugs into the United States the DEA started helping the Colombian government bring him down.
