"White House Issue" In this paper we will discuss the White House issue on education Reform for the Future. Education has been seen by many including the president as the key to a stronger economy. Better education, will enable the workforce to be more adaptable, creative and well equipped to be a competitive force in the economy (Education of a President 2009). In the United States this system really starts with a student when he or she first enters the classroom and opens up a textbook. The success of this reform will be measured on the basis of how many high school students graduate being academically prepared for college or skilled enough in a trade to make a productive living in society.
"Public Policy" There are many types of distributive public policies and education would be one of those. According to the text, “distributive policy uses general tax revenues to provide benefits to individuals or groups often by means of grants or subsidies”. As in the area of education, the distributive principles come in the types of special assess and support to different types of persons. Within education reform the government controls the way in which the money is accessed. This type of policy uses all forms of government to distribute certain types of grants to solve any public needs. In distributive policy, profits are dispersed evenly. In looking at education, the responsibilities of the federal taxes are on every tax payer in America. “The amount that is going to education right now is about 3.5 cents on the dollar ad that is not enough to reform education. (www.nationalpriorities)."
"Policy Modification" There are several strategies that will impact education in a great way and they are, “Strengthening the Teacher Profession and Sparking Innovation”. To empower a teacher will directly support them in their profession.
