The Palestinian Peoples Party
The Palestinian People’s Party (PPP), which is the communist part of Palestine, has worked with the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) to establish a Palestinian state for their people. Palestine’s government is mainly self-run. There are many other organizations, such as the PLO, and the Palestinian Authority (PA), which later renamed their group to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA). The Palestinians believe in a two state solution to split up the land. Many of the other negotiation compromises they want is to eliminate checkpoints. Checkpoints impede travel from place to place but more importantly they don’t allow the Palestinians to get to medical care in times of emergencies. There are many other issues that need to be discussed between the Israelis and Palestinians including the division of land.
The conflict between the Israel and Palestine began in the early 1900s. The main reason for this conflict was initiated by the right of return. Many Israelis had fled because of the Holocaust. Little by little the Jewish people began to return. This upset the Palestinians because the Israelis took over parts of the land that belonged to the Palestinian people. As the conflict grew, so did the reasons the two different sides fought for. The Palestinian Peoples Party is working with many other organizations to achieve the two state solution the people want. “Stressing on the Rights of the Palestinian refugees in referent to the resolution 194 which guaranteed their right to return to their homes and to compensation.” (Palestinian Authority 2005). The PA is one of the many organizations that works with the PPP and shares the same ideas as them. The Palestinian refugees have had very poor living conditions and do not have much medical attention. The PPP, PLO, and PA all fight for equal rights for their people. Many Palestinians live in
