INTRODUCTION

Established in 1981, Pan Pacific Sonargaon is one of the two oldest 5-star hotels in Bangladesh. Though it is owned by the government, the hotel is operated by the international hotel-management company that operates over 20 hotels in 11 countries in the Pacific Rim region, Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. Like the rest of the hotels managed by the Pan Pacific chain, Pan Pacific Sonargaon provides all the 5-star facilities, a spectacular environment and phenomenal hospitality.
Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel is located prominently at the centre of Dhaka, Bangladesh’s capital, near the busy turn of the SAARC foundation. Visiting dignitaries staying at the Hotel Sonargaon are facilitated due to the hotel’s close proximity to Motijheel Commercial Area, and Gulshan and Baridhara Diplomatic Zone. It is also close to the Parliament House and the Prime Minister’s Office.
Hotel Sonargaon is ideally located not only for boarders on official business but also for tourists, visiting Dhaka for some reprieve from their busy lives. Lalbagh Fort, Ahsan Manzil Palace Museum and places that reflect the history of Dhaka are easily accessible from the hotel. The Buriganga River, situated near the hotel, is also frequented by tourists. Bashundhara City, the largest mall in the country, is located quite near Pan Pacific Sonargaon and makes the shopping experience of the hotel’s boarders very invigorating. Tourists are able to hire tour guides available at the hotel to help explore the city more thoroughly.
Hotel Sonargaon is well equipped to make its guests’ stay memorable. It has a business centre complete with all the basic facilities found in a commercial office building. Secretarial services are also available at the business centre. A multinational office, a UNO office, an airline office and commercial banks are also located in one of the extension buildings of the hotel.
